Progressive Event App

About this site

This site is published by Presso Network Ltd, which also builds an events platform. It is a reference for a category, written so that it can be used by people with no relationship to the publisher, including to assess competing products.

The conflict of interest, stated plainly

The publisher of this site sells an event platform, and that platform appears on theimplementations page. That is a conflict of interest. Rather than pretend otherwise, the site is built so the conflict is checkable:

Editorial policy

Assessments are based on publicly checkable evidence: vendor documentation, app store listings, help centres and changelogs. Every verdict on the implementations page cites a source and the date it was checked. Marketing copy is not evidence. A vendor describing its product as “app-free” does not establish that it meets criterion one; an app store listing showing a required download establishes that it does not.

The criteria themselves change rarely and never quietly. Changes are dated, and the previous wording is kept, because a definition that can be revised without trace cannot be cited.

Corrections

If an assessment here is wrong, it should be corrected, and that includes assessments that are wrong in the publisher's favour. If you build or use a platform listed here and a verdict does not match reality, send the evidence that settles it: a link, a screenshot, a documentation page. Corrections that come with evidence are applied and dated.

The same applies to the criteria. If one is ambiguous, unverifiable in practice, or written in a way that happens to favour a particular implementation, that is a defect in the criteria and worth reporting as one. See how the term came about and thetrademark usage policy.
